Free Stuff Friday?

You bet your butt it is!

Okay, full discloshe…I love, love, love posting Free Stuff Friday giveaways because you are all the best and your comments are always so FUN that it makes having to go to the post office to mail off the prize to the winner totally worth it, even though I am allergic to the vibes at most post offices.

I don’t do it every Friday for two reasons. Sometimes I don’t have a good thing to give away. There are Fridays where I’m like the house that ran out of Halloween candy wondering if I should hand out baggies of dry macaroni. The sensible answer is probably not. The second reason I don’t do it, when I don’t do it, is because, sometimes, I forget it is a Friday. That makes me sad, because I have lived most of my life enjoying that Friday feeling where you know you’re gonna get a square of pizza for lunch in the cafeteria and your social studies teacher is probably gonna show a movie that has nothing to do with social studies. Ugh, I do miss having a repetitive and somewhat oppressive structure to my life!

But good news this week! I remembered what day it is AND I have something to give away that I think is outstanding. The only reason I am willing to part with it is because both toilets in my house are already tricked out with them. It’s…a brand spankin’ new…TUSHY!

I’m not gonna hit you with Tushy’s official marketing copy or details. You can check out their website for all that. What I will tell you is that Tushy requires no special plumbing, it is incredibly easy to install and my sons did it themselves in under a half hour back when they were still teenagers and their brains had not finished growing. What I will also tell you is that having a bidet is a game changer back there, for all people who poop, and doubly so for folks who get their periods.

And, because I’m on a roll (this is *not* a toilet paper pun on a free bidet post, please, I would NEVER) I am also giving away one runner up prize of the classic tropical floral “Doing My Best” beach towel from my own personal stash! (Never used, of course.)

I know other people who do…whatever it is we’re trying to do here on the internet…sometimes use giveaways as a way to drive engagement or garner signups for things, but honestly, I HATE when people tag me in something on Instagram so they can win a pool float or a free t-shirt, and I hate having to sign up for something to be in the running to win something, especially when I actually probably would’ve happily signed up if it wasn’t a requirement? That’s definitely a psychological issue I need to sort out with a therapist. HOWEVER, Busy and I are experimenting with putting our older podcast episodes up on YouTube (audio only) and we need a certain amount of subscribers who have listened a certain amount of hours before some deluxe YouTube posting privileges are unlocked for us. So, while it is not a requirement to win anything, if you like to go back and listen to old eps, which I know many of you do, if you would consider subscribing and listening over on YouTube, that would be so cool of you.
