New podcast ep is here!* Well, it’s not new, it came out yesterday, but it IS the NEWEST one! So, if you’ve had a chance to listen, please consider this your official episode discussion thread. Maybe you could tell us what is one thing you’d like to celebrate this week! Or, use the space to discuss whatever you wish. For example, I’ve been wondering if it’s possible to have an internal skinned knee? Because I think I have that.

And, since many of you have been asking**, here are links to buy tickets to Busy Philipps is Doing Her Best Live on Tour! It’s coming up VERRRRY FAST!
* Just click where it says “here” to listen to the episode if you haven’t already!
** People really have been asking. It’s not like when someone’s first becoming an influencer and they say, “A lot of you have been asking about my mole polishing routine, so I thought I’d do a quick tutorial,” and you know damn well not one person asked how they polish their moles, but you still watch it anyway, because you are powerless to scroll by any tutorial content.
Here’s a pic of me & Busy promoting the live shows on PIX11 NYC this morning with my fave, Ojinika Obiekwe! You have to know I love her because look at that smile on my face and understand that I woke up at 5:30AM to be there, LOL!
I’m so excited for the Boston show but honestly, it breaks my heart a little every time they talk about how horrible they think Massachusetts people are. I’m born and bred in MA and I like to think I’m a very nice person. Hopefully the crowd at the show can change their minds! (Yes I know Caissie is also born and bred here and believes we are all Massholes too.)
I would love to go to one of the shows but I'm in Argentina! This week I'm celebrating getting together with my vegetarian friends and cooking good veggie food for them. I love cooking and seeing others enjoy my food! Also I'm so happy to see them because e live pretty far away from each other and I miss them.
Posted in the FB group as well: I live in Iowa and it would be cost prohibitive for me to travel to one of the live shows (although I desperately want to!!!). Is there someone in one of those cities who wants to go but feels cost of a ticket would be a stretch on their budget? I’m happy to purchase a ticket for someone and transfer it to them. I need these shows to be successful so Busy and Caissie schedule more live shows in the future! 😊
I love this Betsy! I rerouted a some work travel to swing by NJ and see the Saturday show 🤣 🤗 If I could not make it happen I was going to buy a ticket to support regardless. Perhaps post this in the FB group too!
I'm celebrating the fact that I have a job interview Monday thanks to my dear friend and friend of the pod, Jenny! We wish we could see you ladies live but we're in stupid FLORIDA!!! Maybe if enough tickets sell and I get this job, we'll get another chance! Full of anxiety and a bit of hope so I'm trying to focus on the hope 🤣. Also I have a weird knee thing going on and I feel like your description of an internal skinned knee is spot on! Thank you as always. Love you!!!
I would love to come to a show but sadly I’m in the wrong country. Maybe if things go well there’ll be a London show one day...
This week I am celebrating my hysterectomy! Which sounds weird but I’ve been waiting for a while and it’s finally happened. Making the most of recovery time by watching a lot of TV and eating a lot of snacks (and being thankful that the NHS is still staggering on and I don’t have to worry about paying for it)
Such a great episode, as usual. I don't know about other folks, but I sometimes can't stop myself from just speaking out loud to both of you while I'm listening, as if you can hear me. This time it was during your discussion about why mean comments stick so much easier than good ones. I don't know why we're programmed that way, but how about we do our best to celebrate all the good things we know to be true about ourselves, while telling anyone who disagrees to go scratch, as my mom used to say.
Speaking of my mom, she used to work with a fabulous woman who would deal with rude members of the public as best she could, and then when they would leave, she would say, "At least I don't have to take you home with me." Then she would do her best to move on and not let it bother her anymore. I think I'm going to take a page out of her book. There's plenty more, if anyone else wants one...😁
Hi!! Your weekly podcast keep me going. I know when you guys think you ramble on about stuff people are like what the heck, but I personally love it even more! It always feels like I’m hanging out with friends 🥰 love you both!
A little celebration: At the small independent school I lead, a first grader and I planned to wear our sparkly footwear the same day on Tuesday and it was fun. 💁🏻♀️🤩💖 She was so excited. Then we both wore them again on Wednesday which was not planned. She loved that too! (I wish I could include a photo but doesn’t seem to be possible on this platform?) This is my last year in my role (my decision -- a huge one!) and I am really intentionally trying to lean into moments like this and really be present. ✨
I have a lot to be anxious and somewhat angry about at the moment, but as I was just telling my therapist today, I am also letting myself celebrate the good right now which happens to be a very good work annual review and compensation bump. I don’t have a job I’m passionate about, but I care about doing well at what I do, and I count myself fortunate to have found myself in a career where I can excel and get very fairly compensated, which then allows me to do the things I am passionate about.
I want to urge everyone to please buy tickets to the shows!! I saw the Toronto show and it was such a great time and I want to be able to go again in the future so please everyone go to these three shows!! Times like these I wish I had billions of dollars so I could buy out the shows and keep Busy and Cassie doing what they are so great at ❤️
Also I have no idea how much work goes into recording and editing the podcast but I’d love it if the live shows were available to listen to. I go back and listen to the Toronto show and remember how much I loved it 😍
I love Seth Rudetsky! Please have him on the Pod. He is so energetic and a positive light while also doing so much to give back! I saw him and Jessie Mueller perform last weekend and it was a delight!
I’m celebrating ( cautiously ) that I was chosen to interview for my bosses job, he was recently promoted. Also, I had a haircut Monday and that was a win.
Okay I couldn’t figure out how to upload so I made my new haircut selfie my profile pic. Shout out to my chosen sister in law and boss of my hair, Mercedes at Trim Salon in DC.
Just celebrating that I got my address labels printed and put on envelope to get my promo cards off to photo editors all before half day pickup of my kids.
As an ortho NP, yes some ailments can feel like internal skinned knees. Like patellar tendinitis or my fav to say patellarfemoral crepitans. The other ortho thing I like to say is TFL strain. (Tensor fasciae latae) I say the whole thing lol.
Oh man I wish there was an easy answer. Typically I say PT is the best but since you have EDS you shouldn't see just the run of the mill PT. You need to see someone who specializes in hypermobility and connective tissue disorders. I personally love PT so I spend a lot of time looking up who is good. I was looking up PTs in LA for you and this is what I found: https://www.ehlers-danlos.com/directory/michael-plude/
I know some of this may be no where near you but my experience with PTs is that if you reach out and ask if they know someone near you they will give a recommendation.
PT is like most therapy sometimes you need to search for a while to find the right one. Then when you do, you don't leave them EVER.

Came here to say wow I can’t believe there was almost a conversation about Many Lives, Many Masters! And then meditation, Reiki... all important elements of the spiritual journey I’ve recently been on. Oh there are so many cool people you guys could interview about this stuff!

I just started my last class in my Ed.S (Education Specialist) program! 🎉
Unfortunately, I’ve been home with Covid. Lots of naps for the last few days, but I am now celebrating getting my energy back today.

Imegine being me, living in Argentina! I would love to be a part of this and I will have major FOMO
Not directly related to the q, but after hearing the chat about painful restaurant names I had to send along this compendium of howlers from the metro Boston area. You'll appreciate the hypah-local content: https://boston.eater.com/2017/7/21/16008034/bad-restaurant-names-boston
I’d like to celebrate finishing my fourth week at my new job. I’m trying to be a little more open, develop better relationships with my colleagues.
Four weeks is a milestone. I hope you make friends!
Congratulations, Chris!!!
Congrats Chris! I love the newness. I hope you find some great friends.

Super excited about Eugene Mirman at the Boston show!!!!!
Me too! I love him.
I would love to come to a live show but it's a bit too far from the UK :)
Get those tickets people!
Someday I hope to get back to the UK for some reason. See you then?

Gosh, Meredith, it’s always both/and for me. Frustrated and thankful. Sad and hopeful. Angry and celebrating. See you!
I'm celebrating making it through the week! Just one more week until I get a little break to see the live show in SF!
See you there!
Can’t wait I’ll be there at the Wilbur in Boston
Very excited to see you!

Filing for divorce. That’s what I’m celebrating.
💜💜💜
I just finished starting my divorce paperwork online today. Doing it myself after years of procrastinating-was planning on doing in 2020
I did all my own paperwork too… once upon a 10 years ago. Wow that’s just hitting me. Congratulations to you!
Congrats.
Congratulations!
I love Seth Rudetsky! Please have him on the Pod. He is so energetic and a positive light while also doing so much to give back! I saw him and Jessie Mueller perform last weekend and it was a delight!
See you live in SF!
See you there!!!

🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
I’m pre-celebrating my new haircut that I’m getting tomorrow!
Hooray for hair cutting! So liberating
Ooh, post pics after! I'm getting my hair cut Sunday. By a new stylist!!! Best idea to do before you go onstage in front of a bunch of people, right?
Okay I couldn’t figure out how to upload so I made my new haircut selfie my profile pic. Shout out to my chosen sister in law and boss of my hair, Mercedes at Trim Salon in DC.
Absolutely! I love this energy. Living!!
So exciting!!! I can’t wait to see!
