1) What is the last TV show you absolutely loved? I have a few comfort tv shows I binge over and over. Current: The Middle

2) What is your all-time favorite movie? Labyrinth, Legend, goonies, heathers, clueless, I have too many faves.

3) If you could see anyone in concert, whether they are living or dead, who would it be? Queen/Freddy

4) If you had an absolutely free week with no responsibilities and you could go anywhere or do anything, how would you want to spend it? Creating art, kickboxing, hiking, camping (glamping really), swing (in a literal swing) maybe a weekend road trip.

5) If a magic chef appeared at your door to cook any dinner you wanted, what would it be? Oh magic chef, give me something delicious, vegan, full of fiber that tastes delicious. I’m thinking a yummy chop salad style, some kind of cherry dessert with a mousse or ice cream, some delicious fruity drinks and something 420 edible like. 👍👍👍

Hope you’ll still include me? I answered in my notes app in February but never pasted it here

What is the last TV show you absolutely loved?

I loved dead ringers with Rachel Weisz, but maybe I should go with Gilmore girls.

2) What is your all-time favorite movie?

Having trouble - its a mix of

Brian Depalma’s Sisters, the Breakfast Club, Fight Club and 1980 Made for Tv movie “Nadia”

3) If you could see anyone in concert, whether they are living or dead, who would it be?

The white stripes - Jack and Meg white

Or nirvana

4) If you had an absolutely free week with no responsibilities and you could go anywhere or do anything, how would you want to spend it?

In a midlife supportive woman community slumber party on some lush island with juice and smoothies and women talking about how things really are and how to get yourself through it, so I guess a ladies retreat with pot, and mushrooms and ultra healthy food that taste good,

5) If a magic chef appeared at your door to cook any dinner you wanted, what would it be?

Fancy cheese plate with lush fruits and light but amazing summer pasta dish,

Desserts that are tiny and on a fancy dessert stand - petit fours , Willy Wonka fancy chocolates, macaroons

Something from the Marie Antoinette movie by Sofia Coppola. Desserts that are tiny and on a fancy dessert stand - petit fours , Willy Wonka fancy chocolates, macaroons

Is the Group chat on substack?! (Duh me) 👻😂🤪Sounds good.

1. Succession on dvd, on a boxset, from the library, lol. Or Santa clarita diet!

2. Too hard. I tried -stuff came up like: Some like it hot! Constantine. John Wick. Sicario. Cat on a hot tin roof. Zero dark thirty.

3. Maybe Jeff Buckley in a small room?? Or some electronic act I love and can dance to. Or nirvana.

4. A zero emissions private jet to a greek island with a driver of a car that runs on some green juice net zero shiz.

5. Magic chef I will imprison you to care for me every day to include preparing whole foods in a tasty manner with lots of veg and oily fish and eggs, the proper amount of fibre, and to cure my addiction to mayonnaise in a subtle manner, and a delicious steak maybe once a week, and you better be a sommelier too, buddy.

Not sure if Group Chat “application” is still open, but I could use a group chat right about now…

1) The Pitt…I’m a sucker for medical dramas.

2) The Goonies…child of the 80s 🤷🏻‍♀️

3) 1980s Madonna. Or Whitney.

4) On a beach with all the books, eating only nachos and tacos and fresh fruit, with my four besties from my hometown.

5) Loaded potato skins, my step-dad’s spaghetti and red sauce, homemade garlic bread, and Boston cream pie.

Hello I’m very late with my responses, but here goes nothing:

1.The rookie has me in a chokehold...chenford!! Also shrinking was so funny and beautiful.

2. I literally don’t know how to choose a movie because I love so many, but I will try:

Lord of the rings, Everafter, and Pride and Prejudice

3. I would definitely see Patti Labelle again and I would love to see Greenday

4. If I could do anything for a week it would definitely be doing my favorite things:

Reading while drinking tea, crocheting while listening to a podcast or an audiobook, going to random bookstores with sketchy basements, going to local coffee shops and ordering a cappuccino and a muffin. Reading in bed. Making things out of clay from my Pinterest ceramics board.

5. A chef would have to make me fresh bread, bolognese, a fresh pesto for my bread, an amazing salad and a mouth watering lemon cake for dessert

Hi - if it's not too late to join a chat, my answers are below:

1) Shrinking

2) Stranger Than Fiction

3) David Bowie

4) It depends:

a. The beach. No responsibilities, no schedule, just go down to the water, hang out, swim, read, go out to eat, hang out, sleep, and do it all again the next day.

b. A big city. New York, LA, Chicago, San Francisco, London. Go to museums, see some theater, eat well, walk around and people watch. Go shopping so I can be as stylish as the locals. Check out the local bookstores. Go to cafes, read, and more people watching.

c. Road trip. Go to Arizona, rent a car, and drive to different places. Maybe a whole week at the Grand Canyon, hiking. Or going around to different national parks and sites, to see desert landscapes and natural formations. See amazing sunrises, sunsets, and the vast vistas of stars at night. Stop at diners for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, or at roadside stops. Coffee and pie everywhere I went.

5) I'm feeling an old school Italian meal, with good red or white wines. Roasted brussel sprouts, caesar salad, spaghetti carbonara, chicken parmesan; gelato or panna cotta or berry crostata or cannoli or affogato (or some mix thereof); a nice port to cap everything off

Just found this via the most recent podcast ep! I might be too late but just in case:

1) High Potential. Or an older one, Brooklyn 99

2) The Holiday is probably the one I’ve watched the most times. A more recent film I enjoyed: The Fall Guy

3) Taylor Swift

4) i would go to Italy with a couple of girl friends and eat and walk and drink wine and enjoy la dolce vita.

5) a well-balanced, simple cocktail of some sort; kanpachi crudo; a salad with the freshest greens and a shallot vinaigrette; and steak frites or poulet frites or mussels and fries. Ha. Anything that goes with fries.

Really hoping I’m not too late for the group text! I’m so sad I missed it last time!

1) Traitors - although I don’t watch any reality asides from drag race so I don’t ever know who any of the contestants are. I just think it’s really fun and am 90% there for Alan’s outfits. But I also really loved shrinking.

2) The Birdcage

3) Prince or Cher

4) with a week off and no responsibilities, I would spend it at the beach. A tiny beach town is where I’m most at peace. Preferably a west coast. But also, like why not somewhere in Australia or Bali?.

5) I’d probably start off with calamari because i feel like I’m always disappointed when I order it with a good anti past/charcuterie (honestly a bodega charcuterie sounds delightful) is always a must. And probably a risotto because I’m never making that for myself because I don’t have the attention span. And a Tiramisu for desert. Now I’m hungry. Ooooh and give me a spicy marg too!

3. Fleetwood Mac - so many hits

4. A tropical locale with an Infinity Pool where I could read trashy mags in peace ;)

5. Maybe a seafood pasta accompanied with fresh bread and a glass of white wine. Need something chocolate for dessert - maybe a mousse.

1) Schitt's Creek; Girls5Eva; anything Amy Sherman-Palladino; and also the 107th person to say Shrinking (but season 3 was a shadow of the first two).

2) All-time favorite? Impossible. But some that I'll always stop and watch if they're on: Clueless, Ghost World, The Holiday (even though I thought it was utter cheese the first time - I've just become more lactose tolerant, I guess), Some Like It Hot, You've Got Mail and similar feel-good rom-coms. I watch the dark/hard/serious-cinema stuff too, but most of the time, life is hard enough, am-I-right??

3) I think it would be super cool to see The Beatles (if I could hear anything over all the screaming). But in more modern times, I love seeing The Cure and Tori Amos.

4) I'd probably spend a few days in London and then a few in Paris, walking around, exploring, checking out cool vintage shops and eating good food. That's my vibe. But preferably, I'd teleport there because I hate super long, exhausting trans-Atlantic flights.

5) Seafood tower (but no raw oysters unless you can guarantee no food poisoning!), maybe a nice medium-rare steak, baked potato, and something chocolate-y for dessert (chef's choice).
