I’m demisexual and I do feel like I’ve heard Busy say things in the past that made me think that she might also be demi. I’m so glad to hear you two talking about it on this episode. It’s definitely not something that we talk about a lot in society. And yes! We do have our own flag!

It’s actually wild how much demisexuality and asexuality can form one’s life in unexpected ways and every day I find a new weird thing that my demisexuality gives context to.

As a career server, I can say most people tip. But a surprising amount of people people don’t or are very cheap - feigning ignorance. It’s kinda wild, especially with split checks, sometimes I only bring one pen- to encourage conversation and maybe a little friendly shaming of possible bad behavior.

I assume I’m among friends here, so I save my rant about tipped minimum wages and other inequities in the restaurant industry

Listening to the pod and not shocking because same, didn’t know it was a thing, but of course it is! All the things - same. Also my idea that I am always supposed to be some Phoenix rising… but totally logically get that of course there’s a lot going on! Anyway, if you find a source to meet new people to know and fall for, I know you’ll share! I have no ideas where to circle back to bond! Or maybe good idea not to! It’s always A LoT!

Crazy that while listening, I am reading quietly hostile and using my book ban bookmark from move on

I just want to say that the Demi convo feels really spot on. I thought it was because I’m an air sign and I value the cerebral over everything else. But to Busy’s point: all my boyfriends have also been hott 🤷🏻‍♀️

Um, no joke. 34 years old and listening to this podcast made me realize that I’m demisexual. And WOW does it explain a lot.

I honestly could listen to Caissie and Busy tell stories about things they did all day long. Caissie’s no tip double charge dinner is one I wish went on longer! (My fave Busy tale is the airport car rentapalooza with her ID, the shuttle etc.- literally turned my day around.)

So to hear Caissie almost passed out in the hot tub and we don’t get to hear the actual story?! Please tell us next week or share here if you feel so inclined.

Caissie - thank you for asking Busy about the ACLU event!

I was crying laughing when Busy said it was probably one person asking 🤣 Hi it’s me!

Oh boy. Those MO book burning people that Rahna mentioned are from my area of MO. And one of them is running for governor. Help us!

Ok, but (AND PLEASE UNDERSTAND I AM NOT TRYING TO DEFEND THESE FOOLS) they didn't burn books. Did they want it to look like they were burning books? Yes, obviously. Did they say they would burn books, if it came to that? They sure did. Was it a total set-up? 💯💯.

But i think it matters that we are honest about what actually happened (they burned some cardboard boxes for a PR stunt) and not engage in our own rhetorical inflation. It just gives them the opportunity to point at us & say "see! They said i burned books, i only burned boxes! They're liars!"

It's infuriating & frustrating AF for sure, though. Politics in this state are something else, frfr.

Besties! iPhone info. There is a new iOS release (17) that allows you to set “posters” for your contact info. The release dropped Sep 18 so folks have started to switch to new contact cards. Here’s a link with the details on how to set them up.

I was prompted to set mine after the update.

I’m still thinking about how Caissie’s hubs contact photo got to someone else. My best guess would be that Caissie shared the contact with person B and that included the contact photo?

Good thinking, but I did not share a contact with that fella. I only ever met him once. It was some other weird glitch, I guess? No idea!

This is breaking my brain bc the name and photo you use for a contact only lives on your device by design. So if I lost someone as “that annoying sales guy “ I don’t worry he will ever see it.

My second guess is that if you have a family plan for mobile devices it’s possible that Matt accidentally clicked to add a photo and grabbed your contact card for him. He wouldn’t know he did that since he doesn’t message himself. Still very weird and hard to do even if you were trying.

I hope you get an answer to the iPhone/contacts situation and share it on the pod. That is hilarious and terrifying! I have to go through all my contacts now 😬
