What is it with phone batteries lately?! I went through a whole ordeal having to replace the battery in my Google phone a few weeks ago because an update messed it up, then just last week my sister's Samsung had battery issues, and now Busy has a nearly exploding battery!
Can I also complain about the ridiculous planned obsolescence/tech waste when it comes to phones, because the technician at the repair place told me Google phones are so hard to open, he didn't want to do the battery replacement until they had extra screens in stock because the odds were so high that they'd end up breaking my screen while trying to open the back of the phone. Why make it so difficult to open in the first place? So people won't go through the effort of repairing it and will spend more to replace the phone instead? Such a waste.
I have been thinking so so so much about waste lately. I mean, I always have, but especially so. I'm starting to think back to all the folks I took care of in the nursing home who had lived through the Great Depression and all their saving habits and I'm like, "That was actually a good idea."
