I missed planner talk, bc I’m at work. But I was really feeling the FOMO around it. When I get home I’ll post a pic of my new planner in the comments, so I feel more participatory.
168 hours a week. You get that. I get that. Everyone we love and loathe gets 24 hours a day and 7 days a week and that, thanks to multiplying 24 by 7 equals our lives in snippets, How do we manage and plan such a hoarde? Or a dearth, depending on your perspective. Well, with a planenr, of course. But...and this is the fun or terrible part: take 168 dollar bills (or 168 of the new Black and White Oreo cookies) and spend. 56 hours asleep. 24 hours grooming, showering clothing, bathing, brushing teeth...what else?Well as we allocate, we 'spend' and that is how I am able (serious;ly) to plan a week within 80 percent, whenever I would like, The problem? 2. One, it works. 2? Life feels planned. And I discover that I have much more free time than it feels as though I do.
I am VERY excited about this planner group business - have we set a date? I’ve got my colored pens ready in my little pencil case (it has flowers on it and says Eat a Bag of Dicks because I am nothing if not classy) and I am READY TO DO THIS!!!
I purchased the same planner that you suggested, Cassie, and it arrived today. She is cute and I am oddly excited about this journey. I have not even attempted to keep a planner in decades, so hoping this goes well and as intended. I'm in for whatever you have to give.
Late to the party but love this idea. I have many notebooks that have been ‘intentionally’ earmarked for planners and alas they are blank. I also love the idea of new stationary too. (Notebook not to be included) (whispers to self)
I go back to work from maternity leave at the end of January so I will have countless ‘to do’ lists to keep in check.
Happy New Year! I’m doing monthly to do/want to do lists as my way of planning this year. Would love to have the zoom session to hear about everyone’s experiences!!
So I actually switched planners this year and I’ve been second-guessing myself since it arrived. It’s a great planner, but it’s designed for entrepreneurs and now I’m worried that I’m going to need a second planner for keeping track of our family’s activities (we have two young boys). Last year I used one of the Erin Condren planners and it actually worked pretty well for me, so now I’m like, ‘uggggh, why did I switch?!’ 🤦♀️
I ONLY use a paper planner still. I hate electronics. I have a workout planner that I never use though and wish it would motivate me more. But I love a good planner.
I was a dedicated planner all through highschool, college and early years of having my kids. Then I lost my way. I documented so much then. My old planners also had sections for addresses and phone numbers and when I come across one, it fills me with pangs of nostalgia for those who I have l left this world and/or left my life. I notice if I don’t write it down I forget easily. I recently got a promotion and for the first time will manage people so I think getting back on the train will help!!
I'm a planner person because if it is important and I write it down, I'm more likely to remember what/where/when I need to do something. I also jumped on the make my own planner stickers for things I do regularly (I do a lot of interviews, so I have an interview sticker that I just write the time/place (or if Teams, the time at my spot and the interviewees spot). Would love to be part of a planner zoom!
So please post when the planner talk 2.0 is.....I flaked and my planner failed me and I missed the first one....lol....

I’m doing a lunar journal, which is also kind of a planner. I’d love to join the group.

I started what I call micro planning at the end of the year and it was low stress and enjoyable. I’m in!

I’m going to give it a good old fashioned try!🤗
I love the idea and am interested! I will order a planner today!

I would love to get ideas from everyone on how to use a planner. Every year I buy one or two and nothing clicks, i am probably overthinking it.
