This was posted just as the supplies for our neighbor’s tried and true ant fighting arsenal arrived. Well... her method was effective in known points of entry. But now they are invading via the other entrances and I have had enough!!

I just setup three feeding/poisoning stations in our current high traffic areas. 🤞🏻Let’s Go Borax!!!

Another tip for mosquito bites. I used to be attacked! Mosquitos are drawn to me. Spent my entire childhood covered in calamine. A few years ago a friend said “take a vitamin B1 each day and mosquitos will leave you alone”. Um what? But why the hell not give it a shot. So I did. And guess what? It worked. I now get the occasional bite but nothing like before. Sitting in WI woods in the summer? No bites. Dinner outside in FL? No bites. I don’t know why it works. I’m not a woman in STEM. But it works.

Caissie, your unique style of writing evokes so much emotion - joy, nostalgia, humor, and intense warmth in the depths of my (admittedly) stone cold heart. You've said it before on the pod, so this is a gentle reminder that you really NEED to write a memoir. Screw publishers, editors, all that non-sense. Can you just self publish or release an e-book? I would pay for the insight and wisdom you would bestow on us because your words, your witty phrasing, and your sense of humor not only bring happy tears to my eyes, but they are truly life-changing. YOU are truly life-changing. Thank you for being exactly who you are. xx

Currently sporting about 6 mosquito bites and wishing I had a hot spoon to hand! These Texas mosquitoes love a foreigner.

I’d love a chance at the crystal pin!

I would love any of the pins! My mom died 2 years ago and I recently started driving her car. To improve the experience, I’ve decided to make it my own, with silly stickers and decor. I’d love to drive around with a Caissie Original™️!

Hot spoons! I’ve never tried it for mosquito bites but it works great for bee stings! I get a cup of really hot water and soak a metal spoon in it. And then tap tap tap the hot spoon on the bite until it gets cool enough to just hold on there for a bit longer. It works great! I never thought to use it on an itchy bite, now I’m going to try it for the itchy itchy brown tail caterpillar rashes we’re getting here in Maine (ugh, if your don’t know, you don’t want to know).

Never go to St Barts because despite how glamorous an exotic vacation to a beautiful tropical island frequented by the "rich and famous" sounds, it is the pits.

The mosquitos (aka les mustiques) are fucking assholes who swarm en masse and will eat you alive and rob you of the joy of the most expensive vacation of your gd life. You will feel at all times like you will be admitted to a mental hospital from the madness of your entire body being on fire with itchiness. No hot spoon is going to save you here.
