Yeah I realized my 3 paragraphs of freak out isn’t for here. Sorry. man I miss livejournal. TL;DR I keep trying to be comforted by focusing on good things, just isn’t working for me!

I’m painting my attic.

Also, I took a week off of social when I just went on vacation with my husband and kids so I could stay present with them and it was so nice and needed

I love Cassie what you said about being from this country but it's not you. I feel that as being from Florida and living in Florida that it is somewhere I live, but it is not representative of me. Also, regarding the Supreme Court as an attorney we have a code of ethics, including professional ethics, and same with the judges they have a judicial Canon of ethics. So I would think and feel that the Supreme Court justices should call each other out if they know something unethical is going on. Also, as being the highest Court of the nation, they should be held to a higher standard.

I’m only halfway through listening but the Jonah Hill/Instagram of it all was so good, and then when Caissie said she didn’t read comments on Busy’s Instagram because the spam makes her crazy, I was like “see? THAT is a boundary.” Love y’all.

Almost through the podcast and it’s so interesting to listen to you talking about the stress of living in America; the constant worry of health care and safety is a lot. I don’t know how your day to day doesn’t stop you from getting out.

I guess you could say grass is greener; cost of living in Australia isn’t great but we do have great space, no stress on guns, access to free basic health care

I am burnt to a crisp. That didn’t change from listening, but it did help my heart to remember the helpers out there doing what they can. You are both helpers and I feel like we listeners are helpers. We can’t do everything, but we can do our best

I appreciate Busy’s honesty about the state of this country. It’s one of the reasons I love this pod! Sometimes I’m blown away by all of us just do-dee-doing around all day like the WORLD ISN’T ON FIRE.

Also, Caissie is so good at finding just the right calming words that validate the situation.

Love you both, thank you for giving us a bit of your time each week 💗

I really enjoyed this episode. I like when you have guests, but I love to hear just the two of you chat.

The last section really got to me too. I think about this undercurrent of war happening right under our noses. I'm with you Caissie, this place has always been fucking crazy. I don't want to go backwards. Lately it seems we take one step forward and two steps back. But this place has always been hopeful and forward moving too.

When I get upset about all the issues that Busy listed I try to simplify and make connections so I feel less overwhelmed.

I think this invisible unnamed war is for our constitutional rights for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Gun violence, not having agency over our bodies, food, air and water making us sick, not making a decent wage to afford housing (the list goes on) all come down to someone's greed getting in the way of our constitutional rights. Some how THEIR right to money (their greed) is more important than our rights and the dignity that should come with being human, being an American.

This pod was STUNNING. I want to hit it point by point... but I won’t. I relate to each topic and feeling and reassurance / advice given. I am so thankful for these conversations and this space. Caissie, thank you!! ♥️

This pod was packed and I have so many thoughts on so many topics! But I came to say I agree with Caissie - I don’t read Instagram comments either. Too much spam and people end up disappointing me. I’m sorry people couldn’t just enjoy Busy’s wonderfully sweet Disney family content. Grandpa Mustache totally made my day.

Not listened yet (Friday is my podcast and housework day) but needed to share with fellow besties that I really knocked it out the park this week by surviving the Great War and actually managing to get tickets for me and my girls to go and see Taylor Swift in Edinburgh next year!! Woohoo! The thought of disappointing my 12 year old has been causing me no end of stress - I had the best sleep in weeks on Monday night 😆

Hi, I started a new job this week, and it's really kicking my butt. Looking forward to logging off this afternoon so I can listen!

Also...this is likely not relevant to anything at all in today's episode, but I just want to say how disappointing it is that it is 2023 and we as a society are still primarily using Microsoft Word. Can't we do better than this? (Can you tell I'm in the middle of a horrendously formatted document? It's the worst. Thanks for your support in this trying time.)

Ugh. I gave up Microsoft when it went to a subscription model. Like, I will pay to subscribe to many things, obviously! But I'm not gonna pay to subscribe to something I've also purchased, you know? In order to be able to even use it? Eff that. I'm now a Google Docs girl and I will never know what I'm doing, but it's fine.
