Great ep. Caissie, way to bury the lead that you met Sherwood S’s child. Hoping to put to rest open question of whether Robert Reed was a good guy (my vote is still yes). ✅😂💚
Not related to this pod, but I got sunburned in my house today and now I understand why Caissie puts on sunscreen as soon as she wakes up every morning.
I worked at Dunkins as a high schooler and I eventually was a finisher which means I frosted, filled, glazed, & powdered the donuts and then delivered them to two satellite stores. I am very familiar with the donut injectors that Caissie talks about in this ep. I can also say that a warm chocolate cruller that the glaze has just hardened on is a very delicious thing you only get to enjoy when you work out back.
Brian talked about Bilt on the pod, and I was an early member. Been using them for about 2+ years now and I love getting points for paying rent. I got so many points for rent and other purchases, I easily hit Silver status my first full year. They also do free rent giveaways every month. If anyone is thinking about signing up and wants to help an unemployed gal out, I have referral codes (hopefully this isn’t overstepping).
I took a lot of notes but am still confused. I have a Delta AMEX gold card but it sounds like thats a waste of time and I should just have a plain AMEX gold card? Did I understand that correctly?
First, what was the app TPG was talking about aero???? Second, is he only flying business or first class one way? He never referenced his return flights, but maybe that’s understood. Third and last, my overall thoughts are that this was really helpful and interesting information, but using points for travel still feels like it’s something out of reach for the majority of people. It seems you have to start out with zero credit debt and only charge within your means to avoid the high interest rates that go with these cards, but also how many of us are able to go to a destination based on the flight schedule and not our life schedules? As much as I’d like to make this work, it feels unattainable, but maybe it just means I need to read more.
The garage sale was so nice! We actually had a New York moment and took my new Dutch oven to the bar right around the corner and everyone thought I had brought pot roast! Lol! 😂 Then, on the way home it fit really nice in my backpack and now it’s sitting in my kitchen ready for Texas Chili! Caissie, you were so nice to talk to me and take a pic. I was so nervous to meet you and I’m glad I got to see Busy and get her smile as we left! Thanks so much from Katie AKA Dutch Oven in Milwaukee (Sleepless in Seattle reference)! Hehe

Loved when you said you’d type up what Brian was saying. I tried to take notes and then was grateful when you said this, Caissie! 🩷
