I have a friend who has lights in their house set up with Alexa. I'm not there often enough to have the routine down, so I'm almost certain I am Lincoln in their house. It gives me anxiety to know I've possibly messed up their system, but I also don't need Alexa knowing when I'm using the bathroom. It's just none of her business.

I'm finding joy in finally being able to see Pink perform live, even if it's 8 months away, lol! Also, beginning to take small steps with some years old maintenance issues in my home. The list is long, but one thing at a time!

Oooooooo the light fixture!! I love when we get little snippets of your house! I recently remembered I have one of those brushes for dry brushing or whatever and damn it makes your skin smoooooooth and I think it feels good too. Thank you as always for this little community!

Yes! I like dry brushing too! I know it's supposed to do stuff for your circulation and whatevs, but just for the skin smoothness alone, it's good.

Yesterday, I went out and bought the Korean viscose mitt and used it for the first time. As someone who has suffered from a painful skin disease for my whole life, I was shocked at how much better my skin looked and felt, after using the mitt just once. I always enjoy reading about the things that bring you joy, but this was a game changer. Thank you so much, Caissie!

Hello and happy weekend, all and Caissie! I love reading…well…everything you write. A leak into your life and mind is such an honor and delight!

A little thing (but really big) that is making my week is an outdoor drink date with my 6 year old. We go to the neighborhood market and get a juice or Gatorade or kombucha… sit outside and color or play a game…. Wow it has really changed the dynamics and here the thing… it’s been FUN. I needed that. Cheers!

It’s something about being out of the house… and sitting outside! Definitely worth a try. Lifts my mood if nothing else. Which we alll know impacts the dynamics with the children … grown or not.

For me I have been experiencing great joy from a handmade giant hand couch pillow/cushion that I bought. She arrived on Friday and is delightfully creepy but also perfect!

I really want to try those mitts, I’ve been looking for some good ones, but for some reason the picture isn’t showing for me. Could someone please tell me what they are called? 🫣

The littlest of things right now are helping me get through some hell-ish times of managing care of my elderly parents. Can we talk about caring for our aging parents? It is ruthless and isolating. BUT spurred by The Last of Us and the perfect placement of Long, Long Time and my dad, who has Alzheimer's, and is currently calmed by 70's country music, I've been on a massive deep dive of the genre. I made a playlist that some of you may enjoy https://open.spotify.com/playlist/4nL8WDZ4egbAHKY8N2vGZ3?si=7ed41f2f27064f13.

Also, bowl koozies!!! For soup lovers, it's a life changer. My friend made me two - one with The Muppets and another with Wonder Woman. Just google Bowl Koozie if you're not familiar.

Definitely going to look into the mitts!! A product I have been loving is this heating pad that is like a pouch specifically for your feet. I have a foot sweating problem and sometimes I am so cold because of it and can’t get my body temp regulated. At night it is hard when it happens because I can’t fall asleep. When I my put my feet in this for even 10 minutes it’s soothing and they stop sweating and warm up. I have actually noted this product in my gratitude journal recently - that’s how life-changing it’s been. 😌 Found it on Amazon!

One of my husband’s favourite things that may stop accidental light switch use...light switch guard covers. I swear his life changed the moment he discovered these things. Lol.

Also! I recently bought one of those mitts but didn’t read the instructions about the 20 minutes of wet skin so thank you for that!!

I’ve never heard the term “strawberry legs”! I was about to ask what it meant, but then remembered how mad C & B get when people don’t Google for themselves 😂 (Do your own research!), so I did, and I guess I now need these special gloves

HAHA! Thank you for Googling. By the way, if we were just chatting, I would never be like, “Google it.” But when you’re already online, it’s easier than me typing out the answer. 🤣

If we were chatting and you said “google it” if I asked you what strawberry legs meant, I’d crack up. And in fact, years ago, a friend asked me a pretty serious question and I was having an overwhelming moment and I did say “google it”!! To this day any time I ask him anything he says “google it”. At least we have levity around it now and it makes for some good laughs…

I needed a new handbag and saw one I liked in a colour I loved and even better - on clearance 80% off. Rang my local store to make they were in stock and the saleswoman said no, it was an inventory error. A week later, decided to see if anything else tickled my fancy and my local store was still showing in stock the bag in the colour I wanted. So I did a “click and collect” order figuring they would just ship one from other store and I might have to wait a bit longer. Lo and behold, I get a confirmation email 2 hours later that my order is ready. Turns out the original lady was just lazy and couldn’t be bothered looking. I mentioned this to the manager when I picked it up and they took another $10 off.

My husband bought me an oodie for Christmas and it makes me so happy! We're in Scotland where it has not only been cold and wintery but we also have crazy expensive fuel prices and a cost of living crisis at the minute so I have been reluctant to put the heating on too much during the day while working from home. My oodie is so cosy!

The thing that made me extra happy yesterday though was we had our first lovely spring-like and I got my washing (laundry) hung outside to dry - it's the little things 🙂
